The Maine State Troopers Foundation Women in Law Enforcement Scholarship Fund was founded in 2021 by a group of female State Troopers with the goal of encouraging young women to choose careers in law enforcement and supporting them along the way. This year's scholarship is available to female high school seniors graduating in 2026 who are entering a law enforcement/criminal justice program at a college or university.

• February 20 - April 3, 2026 : Application period.

• April 3, 2026: Deadline to submit application and supporting documents.

• April 2026: Five finalists will be contacted and interviewed.

• May 2026: Award recipients will be recognized at their local High School Awards Ceremonies.

• January 2027: Monetary awards will be issued after the completion of the recipients' first semester of college.
